Business Head - MEA Engineered Materials

Sameer Abdul Salam, serves as the business head for Engineered Materials Division of Underwriters Laboratories (UL), responsible for strategic business development , lab operations and regional footprint expansion for the MEA region.

Prior to this, Sameer had held various management positions in UL,, including Country manager of Saudi Arabia and Business Head for Consumer Technology in India.

Engineering Materials Division of UL serves manufacturers and stakeholders in Wire & Cable and Materials & Plastics industries. UL is one of the leading Testing, Inspection and Certification organizations in the two industries. Manufacturers make use of UL’s services to demonstrate the safety, performance and reliability compliance of their products to buyers and users.

Sameer Abdul Salam, is an Engineering graduate in Electronics and Communications from University of Calicut, and also graduate of the Global Leadership Program organized by UL University.
