CEO

As CEO of Comsof, an Belgian based innovative software company developing powerful auto-design software for FTTH networks, Raf Meersman has more than 20 years of experience with FTTH network deployments across the world. In August 2022, Comsof was acquired by IQGeo, a UK based provider of award-winning geospatial network management software, where Raf is now Senior Vice-President for the EMEA region.

Having been actively involved with the FTTH Council Europe since 2008, Raf contributed to studies of the council, including the FTTH Handbook, cost studies for a full FTTH coverage in Europe and the potential of convergence between FTTH and fiber backhaul for 5G. Since 2020, Raf became a member of the Board of the council and was elected as President of the board in June 2023.
