Director – Public Network Business

Mr. Shibu Vahid is Director – Public Network Business, R&M Middle East Turkey & Africa and is based in Dubai. He is a graduate from the University of Kerala from which he has an Engineering B. Tech Degree in Electrical & Electronics.
Since 1998 he has had a long and successful career in Communication Industry working in different disciplines in Telco infrastructure Project Implementation, FTTH Design & Consulting, Solution development, Product Manager, Business Development, Sales and strategic Account management etc.
At R&M, he started up with responsibilities as Product manager and emerged as an expert in Fiber optic Technology.
He is responsible for internal and external consulting, sales, and training activities in Telco business segment. At R&M, he acts as International PM and takes care of regional Innovation & Project Engineering as well as offering tailor made solutions for various project requirements. As a Global Management Team member, he participates and contributes in the group level strategic developments of the company.
As a "Public Networks Director" in the region, he is involved in many FTTH projects not only in Telecom sector but also in the major city development projects from consulting through design phases.
Shibu Vahid has more than 20 years of international experience in IT infrastructure projects. He possess a wide experience in all the layers of OSI model in IT infrastructure, varying from software applications through network& storage equipment to structured cabling.
